Still have
a question?

What is the design process?

We will work with you or your designer and contractor to identify the window style, size and configuration that will best suit your needs and the design of your home. Illustrations of each window type will be created to provide a sense of the functionality of each window (which panes are fixed, which will open and in which direction, etc.). You will provide the final approval of the window plan prior to initiating the order.

How do you establish your design fees?

As homeowners ourselves, we became jaded and even annoyed with the window buying process. Regardless of the window company, quality or materials, we have never been able to know what the actual cost of a window was or how it was determined. Our pricing is transparent. The price of a window is determined by the type of window and calculating its square footage. Neovi offers tilt & turn, tilt & slide, sliding door and bi-fold door options.

How long does a typical project take?

A typical project takes ~90 days from the time the window order is submitted.

Do your windows comply with California Title 24?

Yes! Our windows are designed to meet, and in many cases exceed, code requirements.

Why are Neovi windows triple-paned?

Triple-pane windows offer better insulation, noise reduction and reduced energy costs. They are more energy efficient due to having more insulating air space. Triple-pane windows can also block up to 86% of the sun’s ultraviolet rays.

What is a U-factor? What should I look for?

Window ratings can definitely be confusing. Below is a reference guide to the ratings typically required or associated with windows in the U.S.. U-factor & SHGC: The U-factor measures how well a window insulates. The SHGC measures the amount of solar heat that passes through a window. Essentially, a lower U-factor means less heat escapes overall, and a lower SHGC rating means less solar heat enters. U-factor ratings range from 0.20-1.20. The lower the rating, the better the window insulates. SHGC rating scale is 0-1. A lower rating means less solar heat is transmitted through the window. STC: A measurement of how well a building material or assembly can absorb or block sound. The STC rating scale ranges from 25 to 65. The higher the rating the better the sound proofing. Here are some examples of what different STC ratings mean: 18–28: Normal speech can be clearly heard through the window. 29–35: Only very loud speech can clearly be heard through the window. 36–40: Loud speech sounds like a hum. 41–45: Almost all loud speech and music will be blocked, omitting the bass. VLT: Visible Light Transmittance is a percentage value indicating how much visible light passes through a window – the higher the percentage the more light that passes through.
